Gillian is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with a focus on using process improvement to bring about effective change in organisations and people. She has 19 years experience as a professional services consultant, including nine years with Snowden Mining Industry Consultants and two with KPMG.
One of Gillian's greatest achievements was a Business Improvement programme she led for a national contractor that returned a benefit of $8.9 million in the first two years for an investment of $1.7 million. Gillian was responsible for leading the business improvement team and training and mentoring of their people.
Gillian is a highly experienced coach and facilitator and has trained more than 200 Green Belts and numerous Yellow Belts, as well as led projects to reduce waste in a wide range of industries, including engineering, mining, health services and hospitals, startup technology and software development. She has collaborated with teams to re-design the mortgage application process for a big-four bank using Lean principles; to improve patient flow in a hospital theatre by conceiving and installing a clinical command centre; and to implement a 5S program on a mine site.
Her key skill is working with empathy within organisations to bring about sustainable change.
